Three points that make the difference
On the classic Tune-o-matic bridge, the six screws for adjusting the octave intonation are anchored at both ends in the housing.
The string saddles therefore rest on four points - on the two screw ends and on the two “shoulders” of the saddles.
This in turn means that the saddles tend to tilt and rattle due to completely normal manufacturing tolerances.

When designing the Göldo “3-Point-Vario” bridge, we minimally shortened the octave screws so that they just don't reach into the opposite edge of the housing.
Each string saddle therefore only rests on three points - which also gave this bridge its name.
The result is an perfectly stable construction that provides the best basis for a clearly articulated and dynamic sound full of sustain.
Nothing tilts or rattles and thus takes away energy from string vibration!

By the way, the saddles are made of stainless steel - perfect for the sound and the best way to prevent string breakage!

In addition, we have provided the “3-Point-Vario” bridge with a small, typical Göldo feature that is only visible from the underside :
one of the two 4mm holes for the height adjustment screws is formed as a slotted hole from below, so that this bridge does not clamp on imprecisely placed bolts and can therefore replace many of the Tune-o-matic bridges on the market.

The intonation is adjusted with slotted screws which, due to the design, point towards the tailpiece or tremolo.
